- February 20th: Auditions
- March 23rd: Show
Pinchbeck is recycling juice pouches in the cafeteria during lunch and can earn $.02 per pouch! When you pack your kids lunch, use plastic/aluminum juices like HonestKids and Capri Sun and remind them to drop their empty pouch in the bin by the trash. By Earth Day in April, we hope to have quite a collection and a fundraising accomplishment to announce! Please support this effort and save them at home too!

Happy New Year! It's time to get ready for PINCHBECK'S GOT TALENT - 2012!
Mr. Stein has graciously agreed to be the Talent Show Master of Ceremonies this year. However, there was a catch! The only way he would agree was if the moms agreed to do an act like the dads did last year. So, we are calling all ladies who would like to groove to an 80's tune on stage at the PES talent show this year. We will start practicing in mid-February in the cafeteria at Pinchbeck. If you are interested in strutting your stuff please email Becky Myers at myers1516@comcast.net for more details.
The planning of Pinchbeck's Got Talent is well underway and we are looking for some folks to help out with a variety of positions. We will need back stage help for microphones, props and coordinating children. We will have a refresehment area and need helpers to serve drinks and food. We are in search of someone to help with decorations. There will be programs to hand out and many more jobs. If you are interested in helping please email Becky Myers at myers1516@comcast.net. We are allowing middle school and high school students who are in need of community service hours to participate in certain jobs. If you signed up when you registered your child to perform we will be contacting you.
We are very excited to announce that, as a result of the last two SOLD OUT shows, this year's "Pinchbeck's Got Talent 2012" will be taking place in the spacious Godwin High School auditorium. Our talented PES children will take the stage on Friday, March 23rd at 7pm.
Auditions will take place the week of February 20th. Students interested in performing an act for this year's show should be ready for auditions in Pinchbeck's cafeteria immediately after school. Your child's specific audition date and time will be emailed to you once you have registered for the show. While no child will be denied the opportunity to participate in the Talent Show, please keep in mind the necessity for acts that showcase appropriate elementary-age songs, dances and costumes. Because this is a talent show, students WILL NOT be permitted to lip-sync, however, Karaoke-style accompaniment is allowed. Other types of talent acts may include magic, poetry reading, playing an instrument, dance, gymnastics, etc. Each act can be a maximum of two minutes. Students will be permitted to participate in only ONE act this year with no exceptions. The PTA reserves the right to refuse submissions that do not meet the guidelines outlined above.
Thanks to everyone who registered for this year's "Pinchbeck's Got Talent 2012!" We have a full show consisting of thirty five acts including singing, dancing, skits, comedy, gymnastics, and more! If you were among the first thirty five acts to register, you will be receiving communication from us, regarding audition and dress rehearsal dates, as well as other important information. If you were unable to participate this year, we encourage you to come to the show on March 23rd at 7pm in the Godwin High School auditorium and support your Pinchbeck students, staff, and the PTA!
There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal for all Talent Show participants. Students participating in the Talent Show will be required to stay after school for one dress rehearsal sometime in March. We will have a firm date at a later time. This is necessary to review costumes, label props or music, and ensure the children have a clear understanding of the order of acts and how to handle the microphones.
Thank you in advance for your support! We can't wait to see you at PINCHBECK'S GOT TALENT 2012!
Becky Myers & Liesel Geiger
Please join us in the cafeteria on Friday, Feb. 24 from 6-8 p.m. to watch Philip & Henry perform, "Reading is Magic!"
Enjoy homemade pastas, salads, bread, refreshments and dessert during the show and take some time to browse and buy at the PTA Luau Book Fair in the gym. So that we can be sure to provide enough food, please RSVP for this event. The cost for the dinner will be $4 for adults and $2 for children with a family maximum of $15.
We are in need of food donations for this event. If you can donate a pasta, salad or bread for this event, please click here. We will contact you to confirm your assistance.
More volunteer opportunities! The PTA will need help the week of the Book Fair, including (but not limited to) assisting with set up, clean up and sales the night of the Pasta Dinner as well as assisting with sales the week of the Book Fair. If you can spare an hour or two, please sign-up here.
