    Mrs. Clayton's Cupboard

    Collecting bags of pretzels to refill classroom pretzel containers

    Mrs. Clayton's Cupboard, established in November2007, was created for 2 purposes: honoring the memory of Millie Clayton, Pinchbeck's cafeteria manager for 14 years prior to her retirement in 2005 and death in 2007, and providing a healthy snack for Pinchbeck students who would otherwise go without. Mrs. Clayton took pride in taking care of "her children". She was admired and loved by our Pinchbeck community. It is our privilege to honor her memory through Mrs. Clayton's Cupboard. The pretzel drive kicks off at Family Game Night & runs through January 27th

    Thanks so very much for the generous donations given to support our troops & the children in war-torn areas. Members of the Rays Reaching Out Club packed up 9 bags of items & stuffed animals that were then shipped to Operation Gratitude for distribution. Thank you, also, to all those who donated gently-used coats to the Puritan Cleaners Coats for Kids. We're so grateful for our caring Pinchbeck community!

    Happy New Year! It's time to get ready for PINCHBECK'S GOT TALENT - 2012!

    We are very excited to announce that, as a result of the last two SOLD OUT shows, this year's "Pinchbeck's Got Talent 2012" will be taking place in the spacious Godwin High School auditorium. Our talented PES children will take the stage on Friday, March 23rd at 7pm.

    Auditions will take place the week of February 20th. Students interested in performing an act for this year's show should be ready for auditions in Pinchbeck's cafeteria immediately after school. Your child's specific audition date and time will be emailed to you once you have registered for the show. While no child will be denied the opportunity to participate in the Talent Show, please keep in mind the necessity for acts that showcase appropriate elementary-age songs, dances and costumes. Because this is a talent show, students WILL NOT be permitted to lip-sync, however, Karaoke-style accompaniment is allowed. Other types of talent acts may include magic, poetry reading, playing an instrument, dance, gymnastics, etc. Each act can be a maximum of two minutes. Students will be permitted to participate in only ONE act this year with no exceptions. The PTA reserves the right to refuse submissions that do not meet the guidelines outlined above.

    Please sign up by Friday, January 27th. Sign up for new acts is CLOSED. Participants should click here to complete the registration and permission form. We will provide you with the specific date for your child's audition at a later date. Please note that you must provide transportation home for your child after school the day of their audition. Although our seating will be expanded, our stage time will not, thus we will be limiting the acts this year to the first thirty-five acts who sign up.

    There will be a mandatory dress rehearsal for all Talent Show participants. Students participating in the Talent Show will be required to stay after school for one dress rehearsal sometime in March. We will have a firm date at a later time. This is necessary to review costumes, label props or music, and ensure the children have a clear understanding of the order of acts and how to handle the microphones.
